B Vitamins: Why you should never take them

When people are stressed or fatigued, they often turn to B Vitamins to eliminate their symptoms. This is something I would never recommend for one very simple reason: all the B Vitamins you buy in the store are synthetic. They are made from chemicals. B12 actually contains trace amounts of cyanide, which is a known poison. Some of the side effects of synthetic vitamins are nausea and stomach upset. They don't absorb into your system, as is evidenced by the bright coloured urine, a sure indicator that the vitamins are just going through your system without being absorbed in any way. B complex vitamins or "Stress Vitamins" may cause more stress for your body, rather than help it!

So what can you do naturally to ease stress and fatigue? Many things, that don&"t have any side effects or poisons.

Let's start by leading a healthy Lifestyle. A clean diet, with lots of fresh colourful fruit and vegetables, lean proteins and no processed foods. This will help to balance your blood sugar, keep inflammation down and increase the antioxidants in your system. Drinking lots of water and getting enough restful sleep. Many of my patients, who know the value of good restful sleep, find it hard to turn the worrying thoughts off and can't fall asleep or stay asleep. Rather than take a sleeping pill, which are highly addictive, there are natural solutions to calm the mind and body.

 Natural herbs like Valerian, Scullcap, Passion Flower and Lemon Balm are helpful for calming the nervous system. These act naturally and to help you sleep.
