Skin Tone Improved by Fruits and Vegetables
External beauty has much to do with what you do on the inside. You are what you eat, and your skin tells a story about how much to take care of your diet and exercise, as well as your detoxification. Skin radiance, luminosity, tone, texture and hydration are directly linked to your dietary habits, sleep patterns and lifestyle. A study done in Scotland at the University of St. Andrew's tested subjects by feeding them 2 additional servings of fruits and vegetables per day, for six weeks. Their skin tone and coloration was measured before and after the six week time frame. Researchers found improved skin tone and coloration and concluded that including more fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet has a beneficial effect on skin tone and texture.
