Most of my patients over the years suffered from stress & anxiousness. They often are in an anxiety state & this affected their daily lives & often lead to depression. As a naturopathic doctor, my motto is “you need not suffer”. I always told my patients, your health is truly in your hands. You can take steps to live a healthy, energized & positive life. It allows you to get your life back, if you’ve been adversely affected by stress in the past.

4 NATURAL WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR MIND & NERVES

Here are some natural solutions for supporting your nervous system and mental health.

Get enough sleep

The first thing I recommend is to get adequate sleep. The number of hours can vary per person, some people need 8 hours, some need 10 and some require as little as 6. I suggest that you try to get 8 hours of good quality, deep restful sleep each night. To do so, it’s important that you sleep in a dark room. This helps the light receptors that we have in all our skin cells shut down the active hormones of the day and increase the melatonin.

Keep a daily rhythm

It’s also important to go to sleep and wake up at about the same time every day, as this regulates our internal body clock. Adequate rest allows us to wake up energized every morning, ready to face the day, and better able to handle life’s daily stressors.

Looking at the sunrise every morning without sunglasses is a simple technique you can use to set up your entire brain and hormonal secretion for the rest of the day.

Meditate

Meditation is helpful & a good daily practice. It helps quiet the mind, shutting off those negative thoughts that lead to anxiety & depression. Many people find it difficult to stop the thought the first few times they try to meditate, as with all things, practice makes it easier.

Positive Visualization

When you meditate you can also visualize Calming scene or place helps to quiet the mind. Positive images will give you positive thoughts. Law of Attraction is always at play. When you have negative thoughts, you manifest that negativity & often, negative things come back to you. The opposite is true. Manifest positive images & thoughts, and they will manifest into your life. This helps to keep anxiety & depression at bay. Your life can change almost magically when you manifest positivity.
