Many of my patients, both women and men, are bothered by dark, under eye circles. They spend lots of money on expensive creams and lotions without much success. What most people don’t realize is that dark under eye circles are related to the internal organs, namely the kidneys. When the kidneys are toxic and not functioning optimally is when we begin to see the dark circles and a bit of puffiness under the eyes. While a lot of people begin to treat the problem externally, with skin creams and potions, the best way to treat it is actually to focus internally. And that means taking care of the kidneys.

First and foremost, make sure that you’re drinking enough water. Also, ensure that you are urinating enough, so you can flush out that water and some of those toxins through the kidneys. It’s important to detoxify the kidneys, at the very least, at the change of the seasons, so four times a year. Including parsley and beets regularly in your diet will help. It’s so important to detoxify all the internal organs at the same time so that they are balanced and work well together and optimally to remove the waste products. Once you’ve detoxified the kidneys, you can also use natural products externally to help with the appearance of under eye circles. Regular black tea bags can be steeped for five minutes, then can be put on a plate to cool. I like to store them in the freezer, once cooled, and then take them and place them under the eyes. The natural tannins in the tea will help to decrease the pigmentation and inflammation that shows up as dark circles under the eyes. You can lie down and leave the cold tea bags on your eyes for 10 -15 minutes. You can take care of what ails you with totally natural solutions. Keeping your system free from toxins and using natural solutions externally will help rid the dark under eye circles that have plagued many of my patients. It’s so important to take charge of your health and do so the natural way.
