The first of these imbalances is toxicity; if your body is overwhelmed with toxins, it’s much harder to lose weight. Then there are the cortisol imbalances caused by stress. Again, weight loss becomes difficult if you are under stress. There are also hormonal imbalances that hinder your quest to lose the stubborn weight. In women, fluctuating estrogen and progesterone levels, in men it can be erratic testosterone levels that are the problem. Finally, leptin and insulin resistance can make weight loss difficult. It is often a combination of issues that cause the weight loss problem.
